TalentMatcher Featured in De Ondernemer
About job application frustrations, not being able to sit still, and why that one LinkedIn post delivered more than twenty job applications.
Last month I shared my frustration about applying to large companies.
No response. No human. Just portals and silence.
That post was picked up by De Ondernemer (a Dutch business publication). Caroline de Vente reached out, we had a great conversation, and now the story is online.
What I like most about the article?
Not the part about my frustration. But this:
"I thought of something fun and built TalentMatcher in two weeks."
I just can't sit still.
Was I frustrated? Yes.
Did I start doubting myself? Also yes.
But while waiting for responses that never came, I thought: there's a problem here. And problems are meant to be solved.
Two weeks later, TalentMatcher was live. Open source. A tool that helps companies automatically match rejected candidates with other open positions.
And the best part? That one LinkedIn post delivered more than all my job applications combined.
No salaried position. But conversations. Assignments. Advisory work. And today I visited the Chamber of Commerce to register my business.
Thank you Caroline de Vente for the great interview!
